Infobox is needed. I will add it when I have time. AQu01rius (User • Talk) 02:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article now has a lot of good info. To get it up to GA class and beyond, add inline refs, and maybe some pictures to break up the huge chunks of text. Also, the infobox and picture at the top looks kind of bad, you might want to change that.--Danaman5 18:56, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can you identify some places where you think inline references would be useful? To be honest, as the person who authored it, I look at it and I know that it needs references but am not in a good position to tell where they might be most helpful. Some {{fact}} tags, for example, might be helpful. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 04:39, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Siege of Yanmen[edit]

...needs to be clarified. The name refers to the Yanmen Pass, which had important fortifications on the Great Wall which were the scene of other important battles between the Chinese and the Eurasian nomads, but was also the name of the Yanmen Commandery/Prefecture/Circuit/etc. which had various seats. It was at Shuozhou for a while, but that was known as Mayi at the time and presumably isn't what was meant here. Victor Xiong's book on medieval Chinese administrative divisions might clear that up. — LlywelynII 07:21, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Different book of Xiong's glosses it in more detail. — LlywelynII 15:04, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
