Death[edit]

Do we have any source that he died?

that's not a reliable source as per WP:SPS, we need reliable sources from news websites. the link you provided could be about another person that has the same name. either way it doesn't specify that it is him. I googled him and did not find anything about him dying. if he is notable enough to have a wiki page then he would have alot of articles written about him if he died. Here are photos of the deceased: http://www.beckchapels.com/memsol.cgi?page=gallery&user_id=855719. That is Christopher, without a doubt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.116.108.112 (talk) 14:56, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

again anyone can make a page on that site still not a reliable source. Dman41689 (talk) 15:03, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Austin-American Statesman is a reliable news source. The idea that the obituary might be referring to someone else with the exact same name and biography is preposterous.

Furthermore, the edit war was started by User Redsky89. According to 3RR, the page should be protected with the death tag included.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.116.108.112 (talk) 15:16, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but www.legacy.com isnt reliable their is no significant proof that it is about him and since that is the only two things about his death we can't use it if you find something from a reliable news source then we can change it and that editor wasn't doing anything wrong they only changed it because their was no source to back up the claim that he was dead. you were edit waring because you kept changing it without any reliable sources and you used different IP addresses to edit war. Obituary[edit]

In response to Dman41689:

First, I resent the accusation of sockpuppetry. A total of three distinct IP addresses have made the claim that the article's subject is deceased, including the user that initially edited the article shortly after Christopher's death in December 2012. Please assume good faith in accordance with Wikipedia policy.

Second, the Austin-American Statesman is a syndicated newspaper that is more than sufficient for obituary notices. Finally, you will notice that the obituary notice matches the subject of this article on four criteria:

1) his full name, 2) his year of birth, 3) his spouse's name, and 4) his area of residence.

Now, on what basis can it be denied that the subject of this article is deceased? What grand conspiracy are you suggesting that involves the implantation of fabricated obituaries in the Austin municipal paper? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.179.39.8 (talk) 21:09, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Two changes need to be made. First, the article states, "He currently works as a case manager for the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services." Second, the article is in the category, "Living people."

I would edit the article, but it was locked in an attempt to protect the vandalism of other users who removed his death tags. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.179.39.8 (talk) 14:01, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
