Where's Darcy?[edit]

The Theory that Ranchers WEREN'T Responsible for his Murder[edit]

I am somewhat familiar with the history of Chico Mendes and was surprised to see this hypothesis. The Citation included http://www.sln.org.uk/geography/Documents/Thinking/Suspects%20(Chico%20Mendez).doc is a word document of a school project. The website hosting it can't be accessed, but redirects to a local educational site. I don't think this meets criteria for notable sources. Voila-pourquoi (talk) 19:30, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Continued Vandalism of this page[edit]

I'm concerned by the periodic vandalism, which seems to often include references to schools, names and places in Wales/England. I'm especially concerned about the 2 edits I just reverted --http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chico_Mendes&oldid=320776278 and http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chico_Mendes&oldid=320776100-- since these had escaped notice among a flurry of other similar edits, and so persisted on the page for 3 days although other damage had been repaired. Documentaries "Children of the Amazon" and "Voice of the Amazon"[edit]

The information about "Children of the Amazon" is sourced to a New York Times article. There is no reliable source provided for the information on "Voice of the Amazon" other than an external link to that filmmaker's own website. I'm inclined to leave the new material in place in the hope that the editor AbigailBWright or someone else can substantiate, but I think that the "corrected misinformation," being likewise unsourced, should be reverted. Restoring uncited material[edit]

I noticed that two substantial paragraphs were deleted less than a month after citation needed tags were placed on them.

Reading these paragraphs and comparing to Andrew Revkin's book "The Burning Season," it seems that most of the information in them is accurate as well as important to the overall story, so I feel their deletion was premature. Making the effort to find citations and perhaps revise the content based on those sources seems a more fruitful path than deleting them outright.

Music and Lyrics references[edit]
