Somebody feel feel to clean-up the external link for the democracynow.org interview, I don't yet have a handle on the webpage format and don't know how to hyper-link all the important stuff like Amy, Juan, democracynow.org this entry might need to be shortened to one line to fit the format used by the other external links. I have contacted democracynow.org today and got permission to link to their site, they will add link to photo if they have permission to do so from their source.MD 71.222.30.109 18:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 5 August 2022[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. No prejudice against another RM to find a better qualifier, but it is clear that this author is not the primary topic and thus needs some disambiguation qualifier. Charlie SavageCharlie Savage (author) – Unlikely this is going to be the primary topic as Charlie Savage (footballer) could also be a well known person of that name as his career could make him more notable in the future. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:51, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nomination. There are nine entries listed upon the Charles Savage disambiguation page, two of whom use the form "Charlie Savage", which should redirect to the Charles Savage dab page. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:54, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong support the footballer has 21,469 views compared with only 626[[1]] for the author. Redirect yo Charles DAB per WP:DABCOMBINE. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:42, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Crouch. Tom Cadmore254 (talk) 09:55, 10 August 2022 (UTC) Block/glock evasion; see WP:SOCKSTRIKE. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 23:06, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – the footballer has been consistently been getting much higher pageviews than the NYT correspondent ever since the former's article was created last year, and I don't think the latter's long-term significance is sufficient to outweigh that. I'd prefer Charlie Savage (journalist) since he seems to be better known for that (winning the Pulitzer Prize, etc.) than for his books. I agree that the base title should be retargeted to Charles Savage; there's no need for a separate dab page per WP:DABCOMBINE. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 23:06, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
