Great work! I separated this off from Champagne because I planned to add some primary source quotations from Lopez and Raymond (1951), Medieval Trade in the Mediterranean World. I never got around to it, though I may eventually. Srnec (talk) 19:04, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do the headings recently added really help the reader? Srnec (talk) 02:07, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

well I think it is of a length to need a couple of headings. Let's see how it ends up - others might become more appropriate. Johnbod (talk) 14:11, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am ambivalent about the headings I put in, but I do feel the article is long enough to warrant some - preferably enough to trigger a TOC, which I have not managed to my liking yet. - PKM (talk) 01:56, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Added some bits from Favier's Gold and Spices. I am sure there's more (there are 25 entries for "Champagne fairs' in the index!), but I have to run and I'll be away from my books until the weekend. - PKM (talk) 02:32, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request a change to the page. The section "Dominance and decline," third paragraph, the sentence containing, "The effect of the mini Ice Age and population." The link to "Ice Age" currently points to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Age which is a general link to Ice ages should probably point to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Ice_Age because it is more specific to the subject at hand and reduces additional research on the readers part. I apologize if this request is in the wrong place. 208.253.125.129 (talk) 13:08, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
