General layout of the article[edit]

This article is well written, but hasn't been updated for a while. A major update is needed by somebody well versed in the area.

Removing the Link to www.catholicyouthwork.com[edit]

I do not understand why this link was removed. This is the largest non-diocesan, non-bishops conference site for catholic youth work in the world. It belongs in this article.

Please provide a very good reason if you want to remove it.

The name 'chaplain'[edit]

I am not a chaplain, but I know that most are simply known as chaplains. The fact that there not officially meant to be called chaplains is irrelevant.

Clerical sex scandal[edit]

The article on this topic should perhaps discuss allegations that many of the Roman Catholic clerics involved in ministry to young people deliberately corrupted their ministry in order to abuse children, in what amounts to a significant chapter in the pedophile priest scandal. ADM (talk) 06:24, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ADM, the Clerical scandals do not really have much to do with Catholic youth work. The vast majority refered to school settings, residential homes or parochial affairs. Only a very negligable amount concerned themselves with the loci of Catholic youth work to which this article pertains. After all, every single area of work with children and young people has been touched by sex abuse scandals at one time. But not seriously in this area. insert Trans parochial movements[edit]

There are movements called trans parochial which does not directly attached to the local parishes, such as CFC-Youth for Christ and many others. they have their separate activities, memberships and leaders. although they can be part of the local parish's Youth Ministry.--112.198.243.86 (talk) 19:27, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
