Daniel Theaker[edit]

Removed "Daniel Theaker" from list of Canadian composers. Theaker is not nearly as serious as his Wiki would lead you to believe. I know of him by reputation through several close friends. Otherwise he is unknown in the classical music community around Ottawa or in Canada at large. He is not a prominent Canadian composer, or indeed a very active one, and therefore should not be on this list.Warevolf (talk) 02:43, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Sirett[edit]

Is Mark Sirett really a composer of enough significance to be included in the list of of prominent Canadian composers? He's an Associate Composer of the CMC but has only a few minor works listed under his name, and these are in recorded collections with a number of other composers. He seems better known as a choral conductor. I will remove him unless someone feels strongly about this and can justify his inclusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paroxetine (talkcontribs) 01:15, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
