Notable?[edit]

I don't think this page is even worth it - Ottawa's had 15,000 cases at all? If you can prove some notability quick I'll hold off on an AfD. CaffeinAddict (talk) 16:58, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help wanted for Ottawa article[edit]

Hello Wikipedians, in order not to put the Ottawa article for AfD, we have to do more edits to make the Ottawa article with expanded detail include the map of Ottawa with confirmed cases, active cases, recoveries and deaths. Also, some notables events in the city of Ottawa was already cancelled last year. I did edit some in the article and I hope some notable events based in Ottawa already cancelled from last year, the map of Ottawa with confirmed cases with active, recoveries and deaths by neighbourhood or ward is included. Help is also wanted on the nearby city of Gatineau, Quebec to be included in this Ottawa article. Comments are welcome to make the Ottawa article to be expanded to include Ottawa based events, the maps of Ottawa either neighbourhood or ward and addition on the nearby city of Gatineau, Quebec to be included in this article. Thanks. Steam5 (talk) 07:47, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Overall cases in Gatineau, Quebec[edit]

Hello editors, I hope someone will add the nearby city of Gatineau, Quebec, to include confirmed overall cases, active cases, recoveries and deaths by its data alongside existing cases in the nearby city of Ottawa within this Ottawa related article. Thanks. Steam5 (talk) 05:26, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if Gatineau should be included in this article, as it's not covered by the Ottawa Public Health unit. -- Earl Andrew - talk 12:03, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Earl Andrew: @Johnny Au: @CaffeinAddict: @Clearfrienda: Sorry I missed your reply yesterday. For my response between the twin cities of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. The confirmed cases in Ottawa, Ontario from its data is done by the Ottawa Public Health unit and the confirmed cases in Gatineau, Quebec from it data is done by the CISSS de l'Outaouais (Centre intégré de santé et des services sociaux de l'Outaouais). If you visit the CISSS de l'Outaouais website you might see confirmed overall cases in Gatineau, Quebec. Also, I created the title rom the COVID-19 pandemic in Quebec as a redirect from the COVID-19 pandemic in Quebec main article. I change the redirect target from the COVID-19 pandemic in Quebec into the COVID-19 pandemic in Ottawa main article for the COVID-19 pandemic in Ottawa in case there is confirmes cases in Gatineau, Quebec. Can you put this requested proposal to include overall confirmed cases in Gatineau, Quebec for this Ottawa related article. I ask all editors to welcome comments if they propose to add overall cases in Gatineau, Quebec in this COVId-19 in Ottawa focused article. Thank you. Steam5 (talk) 04:05, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Then start a page for Gatineau and see if it sticks. Or merge it and Ottawa for one on National Capital Region (Canada). Gatineau is in a separate Province, it's under different jurisdictions, different rules, they have a curfew during COVID-19 while Ottawa does not, there's a lot of differences, especially when concerned with COVID-19. @CaffeinAddict: Well, the Ottawa title will be kept, and the proposed Gatineau content in this article is called off. Steam5 (talk) 06:18, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@CaffeinAddict: Tell you what, how about adding notable Ottawa-based events was already cancelled from last to be added instead. Only notable events based in Ottawa was cancelled from last year including the cancellation of the 2020 Ottawa Redblacks season for the CFL. Thanks. Read my previous ping on the cancellation Gatineau content. If you can accept the cancellation on the Gatineau content, we might add notable events based in Ottawa was already cancelled to be included. Remember only notable events based in the city of Ottawa for the cancellation of last year's events. Thanks. Steam5 (talk) 06:24, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possible dispute over mass vaccination site opening dates?[edit]

Previously, I have only found sources for the mass vaccination site that opened at the [[Queensway-Carleton]] hospital, on March 11th. However, it appears that @Earl Andrew has found sources for a site opening at the Nepean Sportsplex. Although I knew that this one was opening, I had no idea it opened on March 11th. I'm not sure which one opened first, as both articles say that they were the first to open. If someone could find a reference to show which one opened first, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Clearfrienda (talk) 11:10, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The CTV source clearly indicates the Sportsplex was the first to open, and the Global source calls it the first community clinic to open, so I changed the wording. -- Earl Andrew - talk 12:10, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
