Ownership[edit]

Bridge House Estates is the actual owner of the bridge, and fund all repairs and maintenance - no 'ratepayers money' is used for this. There is a real and legal difference between the trust and its trustee, although the Corporation of London has sometimes blurred the boundary in its representations.

Is this true?[edit]

Districts of England article states and the City of London article states also, unsourced, "The only district boundary that is not vertical is that between the City of London and the London Borough of Southwark. This is because the City today controls the full spans of London Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge, but only half of the river underneath them." If this is true it maybe should be mentioned here in this article too, I skip read the article and couldn't find a mention of it. Carlwev (talk) 06:04, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
