This article starts as a quandary[edit]

I've recorded every fact I could scrape up about "Dad", and dog gone, we are missing both ends of his life--his youth and his old age. Still, here's what I found, and where I found it. Georgejdorner (talk) 00:54, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi George. This indicates that he died in 1952. Unfortunately it does not give an exact date and may not be considered reliable, never the less I've included the date of death in the article in the interests of completeness. Perhaps something more reliable might be found to confirm this. — AustralianRupert (talk) 05:33, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the meantime, I've completed the assessment checklist. I believe that it's not quite a B class article, unfortunately. I think, it needs a bit more on his Second World War career and a sentence or two on what he did after that, up to the time he died. — AustralianRupert (talk) 05:43, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
