Rename?[edit]

I think Accumulator railcar is a literal translation from German. It is technically correct but the usual English-language description is Battery railcar. Biscuittin (talk) 17:46, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Results of UK trial[edit]

The article says that the trial was successful but does not mention plans for further trials or full development - are these still being considered? absolutelypuremilk (talk) 19:11, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Carne of Network Rail wants battery trains not electrification of many lines.

BEMU[edit]

"A BEMU has been restored operating as a shunting train until proper battery charging facilities are built."; the article (reference 4) explains that the BEMU was first used for experimentation by Derby after operating, and later use as a coach.

Hungary 2020 tender[edit]

The tender failed to proceed (https://www.railjournal.com/fleet/mav-start-withdraws-bemu-tender-in-light-of-electrification-plans/), and the section as written (claiming that the introduction "will" happen) failed WP:CRYSTALBALL in the first place. Deleting section. Astro.furball (talk) 15:45, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect, thank you. 10mmsocket (talk) 16:08, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
