Regnal Numbering[edit]

Any idea why he was numbered 'II'? Was it in deference to his grandfather? Considering there was no Antipater I, (that I know of) it seems a little strange - maybe it should be mentioned in the article.

Was the original Antipater somehow considered to be on par with the King during his regencies?

Antipater I[edit]

Actually he is Antipater I, because the next with the same name is Antipater Etesias is numbered Antipater II. The misconseption comes from the previous Antipater regent of the Macedonian Empire; maybe someone considers Antipater I (?). Please someone correct the wrong name of this page, from Antipater II to Antipater I. Aris de Methymna (talk) 18:36, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
