General[edit]

  • All hyphens in the lede, infobox, main body and references should be replaced by en dashes per MOS:DASH

Lead[edit]

  • "The event features seven group stages before a finals stage in March 2020." - how about mentioning when exactly the group stages were held for consistency?
  • "Martin Gould was the defending champion, having won the 2019 edition of the tournament, beating Jack Lisowski 3–1 in the final." - not mentioned in the lead

Tournament format[edit]

  • "The lowest two players of each group are eliminated and the remaining four move to the next group, where they are joined by three more players." - repetition of "players"
  • "and a place at the 2020 Champion of Champions.[4][3]" - refs in numerical order please
  • "The event was streamed on various betting websites, as well as on zhibo.tv in China." - try not to start this sentence the same way as the preceding one

Tournament summary[edit]

  • Is there much more relevant information to include instead of just the three paragraphs?
    • So, I've been really struggling to pad this out. We could include who won each group, but that's largely irrelevant. There was very little fanfare for the event (in comparison to the 2020 Championship League), and the sourcing is a little tight. If you have any suggestions let me know. • Try to do a minor reword of sentences such as "Group 1 was played on 7 and 8 October 2019," which all appear very similar to each other
  • Also the sentences mentioning the individual group dates will need verifying with reliable sources
  • Wikilink the term career centuries for non-Snooker readers
  • "Judd Trump won the group after a 3-1 win over Graeme Dott." - repetition of "wo(i)n"
  • "Donaldson defeated Trump 3-1, whilst Dott defeated Williams" - repetition of "defeated"
  • "Donaldson won his first professional tournament with a 3–0 win over Dott in the final" - repetition of "wo(i)n"
  • "Due to the additional prizes for frame wins, Donaldson won a total of £20,700 throughout the tournament." - same issue as above

Century breaks[edit]

  • A majority of the century breaks in this section are not verified by the WST source used in this section
    • Working. I thought the finals section covered all of these. Obviously not. I'll have to collate or call a favour. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:05, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
