  • Comment: Interviews do not contribute towards notability. Maliner (talk) 14:54, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Articles on this subject were earlier soft deleted and then deleted at AfD; the earlier deletions were not unreasonable. The difficulty is that the sourcing is not strong; there's material which is sourced to interviews, sources which are essentially recycled and sources which have no mention of Tehrani at all. For the Persian language sourcing I'm relying on machine translation - which the draft appears to do so as well. For example, "He is also a 60% blood-agent chemical veteran" - what does this actually mean? He's a veteran of a chemical agent attack? What's 60% *of*? (another machine translation says this is 55%). For other sources where English appears, it is very poorly translated. So my initial reaction would be to decline the draft in its current state. In terms of trying to fix it:
    1. remove all the sources which are interviews and associated text.
    2. remove all the sources which do not mention Tehrani by name and associated text.
    3. copy edit.
    4. Sourcing to hamshahrionline - if I understand correctly, this is a newspaper owned by the City of Tehran, to some extent it can be considered a government source, so there are questions around its independence. The fact that Tehrani served for many years in a state administrative function does to some extent mean sourcing that is independent of the government is necessary.
Dealing with these concerns, I'm afraid though there may not be much left. Goldsztajn (talk) 00:28, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
