Bhupat Singh

Bhupat Singh was famous dacoit of India in the late 1940s and early 1950s.[1][2][3] He was the man who is responsible for delay in 1951–52 Indian general election.[4][5] He was active in Saurashtra (state). Later he came to Pakistan, converted to Islam and adopt name "Amin Yusuf".[6] In 1956 Indian prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakstani prime minister Mohammad Ali Bogra talked about hand over of Bhupat back to India secretly. However, when this reported in Indian media, Pakstani officials step back.[7] He died in 2006. He left 2 sons and 2 daughter.
