"Backr00ms" (stylized in all caps) is a song by American rapper and singer Playboi Carti featuring fellow American rapper and singer Travis Scott. It was released as a promotional track on January 1, 2024, exclusively on YouTube.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5] The song was written by Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, alongside American record producers Cardo and Ojivolta. It marks the fourth promotional single of Playboi Carti's upcoming third studio album, preceded by "H00dByAir", which was released on December 19, 2023.

Background[edit]

On January 1, Playboi Carti's backup dancer and experimental musician, Blackhaine would announce on Carti's Instagram story that he would be releasing a song that day, alongside an image showcasing the time of its release.^[6]

The video shows Travis Scott and Playboi Carti rapping in a garage in front of a SUV tank car.^[7]
