The Fifth European Political Community Summit is a planned meeting of the European Political Community to be held on 7 November 2024 in Hungary.[1][2]

Preparation[edit]

Hungary is scheduled to host the autumn summit of the European Political Community during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The date of the summit was announced by Charles Michel on 20 March 2024. An Informal Meeting of the European Council is also scheduled to take place the following day.[3]

The current host, the United Kingdom, has pledged to promote coherence across future EPC Summits.[4] To this end, the British ambassador in Budapest, Paul Fox, met with Hungarian Europe minister, Bóka János, on 25 March 2024. [5]

The summit is scheduled to take place on 7 November 2024 in Hungary.

The summit is expected to be attended by the heads of state or government of the states participating in the European Political Community along with the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Parliament.
