- Here's the folk etymology provided by Haaretz (English edition):
Isaac Herzog, 53, is better known by his nickname "Bougie," which he was given by his Egyptian-born, French-speaking mother, who combined the French word for doll, "poupee," with the Hebrew equivalent, "buba," but he prefers to be called Isaac when speaking with English-speakers or foreigners, not its Hebrew version, Yitzhak.
- I'll add it to the page too, though I'm unconvinced by the supposed mashup of the two words indicated. Somewhere I vaguely recall "bougie" as-is courtesy of that same francophone mother, but perhaps that's just my imagination? -- Deborahjay (talk) 10:51, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

- By length alone it does appear so, though the typical lack of citations on the WP HE page leaves me wary of adding much that can't be verified elsewhere, either in English or French (I can't function in Flemish/Dutch... how do the Belgians cope with their WP wants and needs anyway?).
- Timewise you've caught me (ahem - us) at the start of International Women's History month with a backlog of selected articles to improve and translate - so your request is noted and duly shuffled lower on the GotToDo list.
- The good news is that last month I left my almost-full-time job at the GFH Archives for the sake of freedom to spend my time at a select set of other pursuits, both personal and public, the latter including WP. The timing was coordinated with my attaining eligibility for the inelegantly titled Old Age Pension, a modest sum meaning I still must freelance (or feelance as a colleague calls it) translating or editing plus a few days/month at the museum. Jewish Art Music[edit]
While I don't necessarily disagree with your decision to move this article, I think it was improper and precipitous to do so without raising the issue on the talk page first. Had you done so, I would probably have suggested that the article be expanded to include Jewish music that was not written by the St. Petersburg group - music by Copland (the Vitebsk trio), by Milhaud, by Bernstein, and so on. That is no longer a possibility because of the new name and lead.

- Please pardon me, Ravpapa, for what was indeed an unduly hasty process and quite uncharacteristic on my part. I was acting somewhat under duress, having been recently introduced to a group of Hebrew Wikipedians whose activity on this very topic I was approached to translate for incorporation into the English-language Wikipedia. The Hebrew page in question, whose title translates quite literally as Jewish art music, is far more comprehensive in scope. This prompted me to Move the previous page here to a more specific title. This is the sort of explanation I'll now add to Talk:Jewish art music movement as well as Talk:Jewish art music (which is presently a REDIRECT page). My newly increased activity in the Hebrew WP, valuable as this is, is hugely demanding of time and effort I'd ordinarily spend on more thorough work in English, besides placing me far outside my personal comfort zone. However, the exigencies of bringing Jewish and Israeli content to the English-language readership, with the increased possibility of its further translation to other language projects and readers, speak to my personal values set. So I appreciate your calling me to order regarding the preferred process of revision, and I assure you I intend to restore order and expand content accordingly as befits the pair of pages. -- Deborahjay (talk) 19:44, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

- Apology accepted, of course. I looked at the Hebrew article - it is full of stuff I didn't know about, very interesting. But also problematic. First of all, it is very thin on documentation - the whole last section on "Canticum Hebraicum", for example, is completely unattributed. Also, the article ends at mid-18th century. If we want an article on Jewish Art Music, we need to include everything that happened after that - works with specifically Jewish content by Halevy, Joachim, and others. We need to think about what to do with Sulzer - whose compositions were liturgical by definition, but in fact clearly in the tradition of Western art music.
- User:Smerus has been doing some work on the article on Jewish music, and we have briefly discussed what needs to be done in the field. Maybe we should think about a sort of colloquium on how we want to organize all the stuff on this topic, before you start churning out the hours in a major translation project.

My grandparents met in Andijan[edit]
Hi Deborahjay, my grandparents met in Andijan as refugees from Poland during the Holocaust. They got married there. They then traveled back through Europe as they were resettled in numerous cities including Breslau, Poznan and Stetin before ending up in DP camps. You updated the Andijan page with a reference to the influx of Jews to Andijan in 1941. I was wondering if you could help point me to some of this research as I'm very curious to learn more about life there during this time for refugees. I looked up the reference for the Ghetto Fighter's House Museum Archive but I was unable to find the reference in File no 2165 that you documented. As I'm sure you know, there is no end to such a discussion, so I'm not going to continue it there, in an unrelated thread, in tiny print. You felt I shouldn't go unanswered, I felt Dodger67 shouldn't go unanswered, and Dodger67 felt StuRat shouldn't go unanswered. I'll say only one more thing, and that's that experience tells us there is zero chance of reaching any understanding on these issues—the two perspectives are unreconcilable and there is no interest on either side of seeing things from the other perspective. - Kindly understand that I felt your response on RD/L was dismissive of an issue that can be read otherwise, so I added content I felt was germane. If you've read it, you've seen that I disagree also with your "zero-chance" assessment. Perhaps it would better be discussed at the RD Talk page, and I'm considering moving it there.
- Something more pervasive is at stake that I'll describe here (hoping you'll read it despite your last sentence, above): Recently concern has been expressed in numerous Wikipedia forums (e.g. on Facebook and mailing lists, that I know of) that there's a gender gap in Wikipedia participation besides in content, skewed towards the male. While we can't expect a sudden correction of millennia of bias to quantitatively equalize biographies of notable people in all fields, we can do something about participation. I saw an OT response ridiculing women on a Refdesk I frequently peruse (H, L, M) and on which I often contribute - and pardon me that I don't recognize your User name among the regulars - and I chose not to be silent. I tried (and it took me an overlong time to edit my response before posting) to make some cogent remarks on the matter in hopes that lurkers will read it. I'd like to respond to the Hebrew tattoo issue, but I cannot, because the page is semi-protected, so could you please copy my following response from your page to the Language Reference Desk? After you copy my response, you can remove it from your page (if you want to). My response is as following
- Hi there, a native Hebrew speaker is here. The tattoo undoubtedly reads "Muhannad Amir" (Hebrew: מֻהַנַּד אַמִיר). The first word is an arabic first name, the second word being the surname.
- Two questions have still remained: 1. Why does this Arab prisoner use Hebrew letters instead of Arabic letters? 2. Who is Muhannad Amir? He cannot be the prisoner, because thanks to this page supplied by User:Basemetal in their second response, we can also discover the prisoner's name: Ahmed Bani Jaber.
- As for User:Dweller's hypothesis that the prisoner is Yigal Amir: This is impossible, even theoretically (hadn't we known that the prisoner is an Arab whose name is Ahmed Bani Jaber), because Yigal Amir is an orthodox religious jew, whose religion forbids using tattoos (Leviticus 19 28).
- As for User:Akld guy's hypothesis, stating that maybe the word on the right represent a date written in Hebrew letters: This could theoretically be a possible option, had he been a religious orthodox jew, because religious orthodox jews tend to use the Hebrew calendar whose dates are written in Hebrew letters; However the prisoner is an Arab, so why should he use the Hebrew calendar?
- As for Akld guy's second hypothesis, claiming that maybe the prisoner uses Hebrew letters in his tattoo in order to indicate his prisoner number: In my view, he wouldn't have done that, because of two reasons: 1. Modern Hebrew uses Hebrew letters as numerals in very specific (and rare) cases only, e.g. when indicating dates of the Hebrew calendar, and sometimes also when printing ordinal numbers of pages of books (e.g. "עמוד כג" i.e. "page Kaf Gimmel" meaning "page 23"), and sometimes also when indicating ordinal numbers of footnotes or of paragraphs and the like, but Modern Hebrew never uses its letters as numerals in most of the cases, including the case of indicating prisoner numbers. 2. Why should a prisoner indicate his prisoner number on his tattoo? Tattoos are usually intended to perpetuate or to immortalize something, aren't they? But I don't see why any prisoner in the world may want to perpetuate his status by a tattoo, which will be hard to remove (if at all) in the future, while he's looking forward to getting released as soon as possible. 87.68.54.45 (talk) 10:26, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

I'd noticed two other editors had deleted the post on sight with the first edit summary of "troll" - and now your delete has also been reverted twice. Here I don't see the usual trollish "Why do scholars have a bias against NS Germany / Holocaust revisionism / your choice", so I decided to try another tack, which is that the poster has a problem with WP therefore no other responses are required here. I didn't suggest posting elsewhere (frankly I'm not sure where...which is what I wrote.) I'm interested in knowing what method would be more effective than the loops of sequential del/revert, until, what, an admin blocks the offending account? Bielski Partisans members[edit]
Hi well Colby here to talk about the so called Bielski Partisans which was run by the Bielski Brothers during World War II, apparently some famous guys are needed to be told, Meyer Bronicki is one of them and was also a member to Tuvia Bielski's Partisans one of his men, Jack Kagan is also one of them, Pinchas Boldo is another member also, Mike Stoll is another one needed to be told, plus one guy in that unit who told the story is Peretz Shorshaty, he was famous for his artwork cartoons he did drawings of the Bielski partisans it's important Peretz Shorshaty gets put on this Wikipedia since he was famous who lived to tell the tale, although his character in the 2008 Defiance Film dies on screen right which is odd because in real life he lived, yeah it's important more to tell Peretz's tale, also Beryl Chafetz is also another man needed to be told,
Also David Bielski the father of the Bielski brothers who was murdered is needed to be told, Leah Johnson also is needed to be told of her story, Lea Friedberg also is another Jew with her story to be told, Sonya Oshman is also another to be told of her tale, Ruth Lapidus also needs to be told, another Bella Goldfischer is also another Jew with a tale when she was aboard a Death Train someone opened the doors, she also escaped to koin the partisans, Ann Monka I think was a sister of Bella and she survived as well, also Sol Lapidus also needs to be told he's also one of the most famous that will need to be told, so yeah what might have to be told is they're famous to the Bielski Partisans during World War II, Trooper201 (talk) 06:26, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! I too was a bit surprised to encounter the word Jewess. My first thought was that some readers would likely take at least mild offense at it. This led me to the speculation that User:InsaneHacker might not be a native speaker of English—or at any rate not from the U.S.

It looks like you did some really wonderful work on the page you shared for Ynes Mexica we have her on our list of pages to add additional content to, although it certainly looks like you were very thorough! I didn't know about Mexia until very recently; one of my colleagues mentioned that she came to botany later in life and was by most counts a colorful character.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day[edit]
I saw your posting on the main page errors report, and was going to respond to you there, but the thread is gone, so posting here instead.
Decisions about what runs on the main page are based upon two things. The first is the importance or notability of the topic. Everyone agrees that International Holocaust Remembrance Day is an extremely important and solemn topic so that is not an issue. The second criterion is the quality of the Wikipedia article itself. In this case, the article could benefit from additional citations of sources, plus it is unbalanced in that it focuses heavily on how the Remembrance Day was commemorated in a couple of specific years but certainly could benefit from updating.
Different editors feel differently about how to balance these two criteria of topic-importance and article-quality. If it were up to me I might have linked the article from the main page based on the first criterion, downplaying the second one, and hoping that seeing the article might have led editors to improve it. Other editors balance the factors differently and in recent weeks, several of the people who are most active in selecting the content for the main page have been working to improve the level of referencing in all articles linked from any portion of that page. Sometimes that means not including articles that would surely be worthy of including if the decision were based on the importance of the subject alone.
In my time on Wikipedia, I have worked with all the editors who posted in the errors thread, including David Levy, Black Kite, and The Rambling Man. Sometimes I agree with their opinions about things and sometimes I don't, but all of them are respected Wikipedians and none deserve the type of accusation you made. You can rest assured that the decision not to include this particular article on the main page this year was based on the same type of discussions that are taking place every day regarding all kinds of articles. It was not, to any degree whatsoever, based upon anyone's denial or trivialization of the Holocaust or the importance of never forgetting it. Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:44, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

- I personally removed the link.
- I'm Jewish (on both sides of my family).
- My paternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors (and most of their relatives were far less fortunate).

ListeriaBot is making destructive updates[edit]
I've just come across your message on ListeriaBot here. As I created the list on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Missing articles by nationality/Israel, it might be useful if I explain the background. The reason we have a whole series of Wikidata-sourced lists on Women in Red is that we find it useful to draw the attention of our participants to pertinent articles in versions of Wikipedia in other languages which do not yet exist in English. We find Wikidata an extremely useful source in this connection as we are able to keep track of articles in other languages which can often serve as a basis for articles in English. As far as I can see, you have been trying to correct or complete the information on the red link list and have been frustrated by the deletions made by ListeriaBot. I'm afraid the only way to edit the details on the list is by editing the Wikidata entries themselves or possibly by writing articles in English on the women who are redlinked. - Not quite, Ipigott. Deborahjay was editing wikidata but seeing her items removed from the Listeria list. The cause was that the list was limited to 1000 rows (slightly less - I'm thinking it selected 1000 Female/Israel items, then deducted those with en.wiki articles, for a total of iirc 887 rows). I've now removed the limit=1000 and per my explanation on VP/T, Deborahjay's edits can now be seen in the list. We could do two or three things to diminish the sort of uncertainty which has afflicted Deborahjay such as 1) note in the explanatory text of redlists that have limits, that the limits in place may lead to recently edited wikidata items falling off the lists 2) work out if we can force the sort-order of the select such that the presumably edit-timestamp-related current sort is removed, meaning that edited items will not fall off the list 3) remove the limits 4) add a note to the explanatory text suggesting that anyone with problems comes to WT:WPWIR rather than elsewhere. - Thanks for your clarification, Tagishsimon. From what you say, it looks as if you have sorted out the problem. I see that the list now runs to over 2,400 items compared to just 1,000 earlier. I must say I have not followed the technical development or performance of ListeriaBot but it certainly looks strange to me to see that it was failing to list Wikidata additions. I must say that when I have updated Wikidata details, they have always been reflected in the Listeria updates but that may well be because I have not been working on lists exceeding the prescribed upper limit. - Hmm. That is what you substituted after I questioned the map legend which had been retained from the template's previous purpose (per title). I then went on to change religions to ethnicities and moved the Template (to rename it) from "Israeli and Palestinian" localities to "Jewish and Arab." I noted my rationale in the Move's edit summary (visible in View history). Now, reading your intention - would you agree to move this discussion to the Template's talk page? I have some considerations to raise for the sake of objectivity and inclusiveness, which are sensitive topics (mixed-population villages, Bedouin identity, Jewish secular vs Orthodox vs Haredi), especially as this template is already "live." I'm unsure whether a map could successfully present the relevant distinctions. Rather, I'd suggest setting up a Task Force to review the pages of all Israeli residential localities' religious and ethnic demographics. Examples among my neighbors: Maghar, Israel#Demographics, Abu Snan, and Ya'ara, vs elsewhere in the country: Beit Shemesh#Demographics, Nazareth Illit#Demographics... When you have time would you consider translating these English articles onto the Hebrew Wikipedia? Robert Strassburg was a noted Jewish/American composer from New York & California. He was a classmate of Leonard Bernstein at Harvard University and was a student of Igor Stravinsky, Walter Piston and Paul Hindemith. In addition, he composed a large repertoire of Jewish liturgical music (See Kabbalat Shabbat, Mah Tovu & Psalm 117) as well as several highly regarded film scores. He is also a recognized expert on the musical compositions of the Jewish/American composer Ernest Bloch. Many of his compositions have been archived at the Milken Archive of Jewish Music (See: http://www.milkenarchive.org/artists/view/robert-strassburg/) John Serry Sr. was a student of Robert Strassburg who shared his interest as an organist in composing and performing liturgical works for members of both the Jewish and Catholic faiths in order to unite humanity in peace. South African Musicians[edit]

I see the page is protected, however there are a number of artists not on the page.

I'd like to be able to add artists that I find as I'm currently doing a little bit of hunting - trying to find out bames and discographies of artists I remember from the early 1990's.
My mom made a few videos, and I'm hoping to hold of some details that way as well, however my main reason for contacting you is that you are the last person to have edited the page, and it's no use having an incomplete page if no additions are made (or welcome) - that being said, I do completely understand why it's protected.

- Hello, Desilu, and thanks for getting in touch with me to present your issues. I'm no expert but here are my explanations to the best of my knowledge:
- The page is the List of South African musicians and is updated manually, not automatically. Each listing is a page in this (the English-language) Wikipedia, so it's displayed in blue with an internal ("hot") link to the page. The format is the exact page name enclosed in double square brackets.
- Compare the list with the Category:South African musicians. For a page to appear in a category, the category name has to be added when editing the page, in a format similar to a page name. (See examples in the Edit view.)
- If you recently created this User account, you can already edit your own User page and write on your User talk page (which I'm creating now). I think after 72 hours you'll be allowed to edit mainspace pages (e.g. an article). You can look at mine as a model and decide how much, if any, personal info you want to include. (Languages in Babel boxes, for example).
- Meanwhile you can explore categories and articles. The best way to learn editing is to copy what others do. If you know HTML, the Wiki markup language is similar, e.g. enclose text in double apostrophes for italic, triple apostrophes for bold, etc.
- You can also check out the activity of m:Wikimedia ZA, the national organization of Wikipedians in South Africa, by clicking that link (and they're also on Facebook). They have regular meetings and welcome newcomers. Did you know that this year's international Wikipedia gathering, m:Wikimania 2018, is being held in Cape Town? Lucky you! (and foolish me, I missed it in 2011 when it was in my country.)

Hi Deborah, alas my acquaintance with those Wikipedias is academic, although I do understand and speak the languages at a basic level (they are mutually intelligible). This very Saturday I intend to start coaching youngsters who are mother tongue speakers, to use the machine-assisted translation tool provided by Wikipedia (currently it only supports IsiXhosa, but I hope that will change by the end of the hackathon which is part of Wikimania.

Deborahjay, it is nice to meet you. I noticed you recently edited the Legatum Institute page. I would appreciate your assistance with the pending edit request on the Talk page. As you can see, another editor has taken partial action. Several issues remain unaddressed and some of the changes implemented are not in line with encyclopedic protocol. Specifically, the current section entitled "History, funding, agenda," is not appropriate. Separate sections should be inserted for History and funding with relevant content included in each. Similarly, violations of NPOV and MOS:LABEL remain throughout the article, including in the words used to describe Christopher Chandler. Advice about the Wolf Prize in Mathematics[edit]
Deborahjay, I am relatively new at editing Wikipedia content, and I wanted your advice, please. I'm reading about the Wolf Prize in Mathematics. It is such a shame that this prize has only been awarded to men (as far as I can tell). Is there a way to mention this on the Wikipedia page for the prize? I think that this is notable, and I think there might be a way to do this, in such a way that it raises awareness, so that talented female mathematicians could (hopefully) be considered for this award. What do you think? I don't know how to handle this in a tactful way, and I am relatively new at editing on Wikipedia. What is your opinion on this issue, please? Thanks for considering! It might be the case that such information would be unwelcome or inappropriate on the page. I actually don't know! - Dear Professor MDW, welcome to Wikipedia! It's entirely appropriate to approach and engage with active, experienced editors on topics of mutual interest, and I'm especially glad to take up matters regarding the Wolf Prizes. (Their lacking pages in the Hebrew Wikipedia may drive me to make them myself!) The nominations process, being by invitation upon application, seems rather opaque. I'll have to explore the website more (or contact the Foundation) to see if and where they publish the names of the panel of judges - possibly a point of transparency. Meanwhile you can add the Wolf Prize and Wolf Foundation pages to your Watchlist (click on the star in the horizontal top of page navigation bar to the left of "More"). At the moment I'm launching a time-bound project in Hebrew for the local editors group, but actually the Wolf Prizes were already on my to-do radar since last month when the 2022 laureates names and fields were published in the Israeli mainstream news. Request for translation help[edit]
This video features an interview with Gideon Greif, a historian of the Holocaust, but I don't know Hebrew. Based on your knowledge of the language, does the historian say that the Warsaw concentration camp narrative about 200K dead Poles is "fake history" or something similar; if not, what is the descriptor he uses for that story? Unfortunately, Google speech-to-text recognition did not really work out, and without the knowledge of the language, I seem to have no other option. Thanks in advance for the help. - The source's inclusion is longstanding and can be tracked to this revision by Francois Robere, October 2019; Piotrus has briefly removed the source as "non-English" and then put the "citation needed" template on Greif. Also, even with the rubbish translation, it was fairly evident that Gideon Greif was critical of the Polish government (that led by the Law and Justice, to be exact). So you didn't understand what the video actually says because you don't speak Hebrew but you entered the source anyway. Also, even with the rubbish translation, it was fairly evident that Gideon Greif was critical of the Polish government (that led by the Law and Justice, to be exact). - @Chiswick Chap : I'm doing these on my mobile phone where I remain logged in to my account - and I suspect it treats these edits similar or identical to a label in Wikidata, which is accepted as content without any possibility or need for characterizing the action. What's peculiar is that in the English Wikipedia these appear in my Contributions, but in the Hebrew WP they only appear as Wikidata contributions. I'd be glad to conform to best practice, but how? - I can't speak for your mobile phone, but on my mobile if I make an edit, I then press the blue square with ">" in it at top right, which gives me a screen with "Summary:" and an edit comment field, in which I type my edit, above a small display of the effect of my edit. I then press the blue rectangle with "Publish" in it at top right, and presto, I've made a mobile edit with edit comment. But maybe your mileage may vary from this simple pattern. Orphan tag on Jewish Association for Protection of Girls and Women[edit]
Hi Deborah, hope you are doing well. I was looking for links to potentially add to the page and realized the issue is that the page Jewish Association for Protection of Girls and Women is different from Jewish Association for the Protection of Girls and Women, which redirects to Constance Flower, one of the founders. Since this is the same organization, I'm not sure what the best recourse would be to combine the pages - merge the full page (sans the) with the redirect to correct the name, vice versa, etc.? - Dear Kazamzam, your point is well-taken and requires corrections for the sake of consistency per the facts! Another look and careful reading of the logo image in Commons, it indeed has the title Jewish Association for the Protection of Girls and Women. I was overly reliant on the editors of the page in the Hebrew WP (where it's a Good Article). This requires a review of the organization's English name in its later publications which are cited in the latter part of the Hebrew text that remains to be translated to the en.wiki. Ma'amad question[edit]
Hi Deborah, hope you're doing well - I have a hopefully not too complex question for you as a Hebrew reader/speaker. A few months ago I came across the word Ma'amad/Mahamad in a book referring to the community council of elders in the Sephardic communities, comparable to the Ashkenazic qahal. The ma'amad page is pretty sparse and the qahal isn't much better. But the Hebrew qahal page is extremely lacking! This seems like a real gap and something I am interested in improving, either by merging the articles and beefing up the combined version, or by improving them separately. I haven't done the research to say if they are truly the same concept under two different names or diverged more significantly to warrant tow different articles but I thought you might like to be involved, particularly if you have a suggestion for a good picture. Ideally I would like to link the two via the same Wikidata item but that's a longer term goal. If this isn't something you find interesting, no worries and thanks for your help! - Shalom, Kazamzam, and thanks for your interest and for drawing this to my attention. My knowledge of religious matters doesn't cover these points, so let me provide what answers may be helpful at this junction. Apart from the Hebrew linguistic elements (ma'amad, lit. "standing", and qahal, lit. congregation, each in a particularly narrow sense!), these terms stand for concepts native to the nature of the Ashkenazi vs Sepharadi communities for these religious/ethnic/cultural bodies' self-management in their distinct diaspora setting. The two maintain separate rabbinic dynasties and liturgies, and I doubt there was even much intermarriage (!) between these communities until the 20th C. Certainly their vernaculars were closely related to their diaspora bases (primarily Yiddish vs. Ladino, besides those of the Middle East/North Africa and others). Hence I strongly support keeping distinct Wikidata items for Ma'amad and Qahal. Your points could be addressed (at least in part) by adding to both the reciprocal claim of the Property:Different from, which I've applied just now (See links). If I am honest, I do not agree with the statement that the artist is not notable or does not achieve notoriety if he has only achieved popularity outside of Israel and not within. I totally disagree since a list or musical positioning gives notoriety to a certain musician and also Noam Bettan has more than 157K monthly listeners on Spotify.
