Description
English: This simulated image showcases the red and infrared light of more than 50 million stars in Andromeda, as they would appear with WFIRST. Pull-out details show various mixes of young blue stars, older redder stars, dust clouds, and background galaxies that would be visible in a WFIRST image. Each detail covers an area equivalent to a full image from Hubble’s infrared camera.
