Summary

Description
English: At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, a Soyuz booster launches on Oct. 30, 2011 carrying the unmanned Russian ISS Progress 45 cargo craft to orbit for the start of a three-day trip to the International Space Station. The resupply craft, which is scheduled to dock on Nov. 2, is carrying 2.9 tons of food, fuel and supplies for the residents of the station. This marked the first launch of the Soyuz booster from Baikonur since a third-stage failure on Aug. 24 resulted in the loss of the previous Progress cargo vehicle, the ISS Progress 44.
