English: Near-infrared image from the framing camera on NASA's Dawn taken near the point of closest approach to Mars on Feb. 17, 2009, during Dawn's gravity assist flyby. The image was taken for calibration purposes and shows a portion of northwest margin of Tempe Terra, Mars. The scene is illuminated by the light of dawn, and traces of fog appear in the lower portion. The area covered by the image is about 55 kilometers (34 miles) across.
Español: Imagen en el infrarrojo cercano obtenida por una de las cámara de la sonda Dawn de la NASA cerca del momento de máxima aproximación a Marte, el 17 de febrero de 2009, durante la asistencia gravitatoria sobre Marte que realizó la sonda. La imagen fue tomada con propósitos de calibración y muestra una porción del borde noroeste de Tempe Terra. La escena fue tomada durante el amanecer local, y pueden verse trazas de bruma en la parte inferior. El área que cubre la imagen es de unos 55 km de ancho.
