Summary

Description
English: From 1853 to 1856, Russia found itself in a confrontation with an alliance of Sardinia, the Ottoman Empire, France, and Britain known as the Crimean War. The Middle East was a region in conflict, and Russia wanted to safeguard the Ottoman Empire's Christian minority rights. The declining Ottoman Empire and the Holy Land's Christian minority issues fueled the outbreak of violence.
